We're partnering with a fast-growing ESG software business that helps private equity, venture capital and corporate organisations simplify how they collect, manage and report sustainability data. Operating in one of the fastest-growing areas of B2B software, the business provides a platform that enables organisations to meet increasing ESG and sustainability reporting requirements while turning compliance into a strategic advantage.

As they enter their next phase of growth, they're looking for a Sales Manager to lead, develop and scale the commercial function.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine player-coach role. You'll inherit and lead a sales team of 2x Account Executive & BDR, while remaining highly active in new business acquisition yourself. You'll be responsible for driving revenue growth, hiring additional commercial talent, refining the go-to-market strategy and helping build a high-performance sales culture. You'll sell a sophisticated SaaS platform into senior stakeholders across Private Equity, Venture Capital and Corporate organisations, managing deals worth up to £100k ARR.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach and develop a growing sales team
  • Recruit and onboard new commercial hires as the business scales
  • Own team revenue performance and pipeline generation
  • Personally manage and close strategic opportunities
  • Refine and execute the go-to-market strategy
  • Work closely with leadership on forecasting, process improvement and growth plans
  • Sell into VCs, Private Equity firms, portfolio companies and corporate organisations
  • Engage senior decision-makers across Sustainability, ESG, Finance and Investment functions

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience selling B2B SaaS solutions
  • Previous leadership experience or a successful player-coach background
  • Strong track record of exceeding quota and delivering consistent growth
  • Comfortable carrying an individual sales target while leading a team
  • Experience selling into Mid-Market and Enterprise organisations
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Experience within ESG, compliance, data, risk, financial services or related sectors is advantageous
  • Ambitious, hands-on and excited by building something
