Duty Manager (London, SE10)

Role Overview:
Location: London, SE10 (site-based)
Stable hours with a clear shift pattern: 8am – 17:30 Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week.
Package: DOE.
Industry: Property Management.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading a small on‑site team of 3 concierges, setting standards, supporting performance and ensuring processes are followed.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Overseeing contractor activity and making sure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the expected standard.
  • Supporting maintenance routines, logging tasks and ensuring planned and reactive works are completed on time.
  • Playing a hands‑on role in building mobilisation and ongoing operational improvements.
  • Championing Health & Safety, carrying out checks, reporting risks and keeping the development compliant at all times.
  • Managing site routines such as opening/closing, inspections, alarm checks and any amenity‑related duties.
  • Ensuring accurate record‑keeping across systems, logs and compliance documents.

Main Skills Needed:

  • Previous experience in a residential, hospitality or customer‑focused operational role.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, support and guide a team.
  • Confident problem‑solver with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices and compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable using systems, logging activity and following structured processes.
  • Organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
