Introduction
A modern residential development is looking for a confident Duty Manager to keep day-to-day operations running seamlessly. You’ll be the go-to presence on site – supporting residents, leading the team, and ensuring the building always feels safe, polished and well-managed.
Role Overview:
- Location: London (site-based)
- Stable hours with a clear shift pattern:
- Shifts between 07:00 and 23:30 (early: 7am–3.30pm / late: 3pm–11.30pm)
- 8.5 hours per shift with a 30-minute paid break-
- 5 shifts per week, 42.5 hours total, with 2 days off on rotation
- Occasional ad-hoc night cover (11pm–7:30am) during periods such as annual leave
- Package: Competitive salary based on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading a small on-site team of 6 concierges, setting standards, supporting performance and ensuring processes are followed.
- Acting as the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Overseeing contractor activity and making sure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the expected standard.
- Supporting maintenance routines, logging tasks and ensuring planned and reactive works are completed on time.
- Playing a hands-on role in building mobilisation and ongoing operational improvements.
- Championing Health & Safety, carrying out checks, reporting risks and keeping the development compliant at all times.
- Managing site routines such as opening/closing, inspections, alarm checks and any amenity-related duties.
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping across systems, logs and compliance documents.
Main Skills Needed:
- Previous experience in a residential, hospitality or customer-focused operational role.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, support and guide a team.
- Confident problem-solver with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices and compliance requirements.
- Comfortable using systems, logging activity and following structured processes.
- Organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
