We are currently looking for a full-time person to be responsible for the purchasing of equipment and tools and to manage the stores at our East Midlands branch. This is the ideal opportunity for someone with a background in purchasing or inventory administration, with strong administrative skills and who is not afraid to pull up their sleeves and do a bit of manual work.
Your main purpose will be to make sure that our engineers have the tools, parts and equipment they need at the right time and the right place so that they can do their jobs and deliver a great service to our customers. This involves sourcing and ordering parts and materials, PPE and tools. You’ll then need to make sure that those items are delivered to the correct place on the correct day or if they come straight to the branch you will need to receive them, pack them away and allocate them to the correct jobs.
You will spend some of your time in the office, working on the computer, doing administration. This will include sourcing and ordering items, administration of invoices, processing warranties and updating records. The rest of the time you will be in the stores, keeping control of stock, making sure the area is neat and tidy and allocating parts to the correct jobs.
You will also be responsible for the supply and management of refrigerants, administration of the branch fleets, van inspections and conducting some Health and Safety checks.
