Adcock Chelmsford Service and Maintenance Full time, Permanent

Take ownership of a busy warehouse at our Chelmsford branch where your organisational skills directly impact field engineers and customer satisfaction.

You'll be the vital link ensuring the right parts reach the right place at the right time.

What you'll be doing

Your main purpose is ensuring engineers have the tools, parts and equipment they need to deliver excellent customer service.

You'll pick parts and equipment for jobs and arrange collection or delivery to sites.

You'll receive, check, process and pack away deliveries of service parts and installation units.

You'll control stock in stores and engineers' vans, run regular stock takes, and maintain tidy store areas. You'll also order parts and materials for installation works.

Additional responsibilities include

Managing refrigerants and gas cylinders supply and recording Looking after tools and hired access equipment Conducting statutory checks: van inspections, PAT testing, ladder inspections and fire safety checks Managing the branch fleet Overseeing waste and recycling What's in it for you?

Experience in a similar role in electrical, plumber wholesaler, builder's merchants or similar supplier-based industry Some working experience within the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry would be an advantage but is not essential Comfortable with some manual handling Current, valid UK driving licence as some driving/deliveries to site may be required Due to the safeguarding requirements of our customers, many of whom are schools or hospitals, we complete confidential criminal record checks on all roles that attend customer sites.

If you are successful, you will be required to complete a DBS check.

We strictly follow the DBS code of practice and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
