A leading regional construction company who specialise in turn key civil engineering solutions on major new build developments are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team. This business has been trading for decades and has an unbelievable reputation within the North West. Staff retention levels are exceptional within the business, but due to continued jobs and two large city centre project awards, they now need to expand their team. The business excels in drainage, foundations, slabs, retaining walls, structural concrete, and 278 works, etc., to give an idea of the kind of packages you will be managing in this role.
With two key projects due to start on site later this year, this is an exciting opportunity to mobilise a major project for the business and deliver as number one on site from site set up to completion and handover. In this role you will work to:
- Oversee daily construction operations including the planning of cost-effective use of materials, plant and labour.
- Ensure that all quality control, environmental and health and safety requirements are met and adhered to.
- Analyze construction project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilisation.
- Input, manage and monitor contract programmes and accurately forecast completion dates to ensure they are met on time and within budget.
- Weekly progress reports with senior management.
- Liaising with sub-contractors and clients and updating on progress.
- Performing quality control checks and resolving site issues proactively.
- Liaising with clerk of works and all other associated inspectors to ensure specifications and quality requirements are achieved and delivered.
- Co-ordinating material deliveries on time to not cause disruption to build programme or cost of construction.
You are an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager with plenty of experience managing large scale civil engineering works for main contractors. You have worked on large city centre developments before.
