Due to an increase in pupil numbers, we now require a small number of additional Teaching Assistants. These posts are to commence on 1 September 2026. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, and imaginative Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils. The successful candidates will work under guidance, implement work programmes for individuals and groups, and provide feedback to Teachers to assist in the whole planning cycle and in the management and preparation of resources.

Ayresome Primary School is committed to training Teacher Apprentices. This post will be recruited internally within the Ayresome staff. This provides an exciting opportunity for candidates appointed who hold the required qualification and are considering a career in teaching. One of these posts may be placed in the Early Years Foundation Stage, and applications are welcomed from candidates who hold a relevant Early Years qualification.
Successful candidates will possess:
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Experience of working as a classroom or Teaching Assistant within a primary school environment.
- The skills and attributes that meet the criteria detailed on the person specification essential for the role.
