ADAS, part of the RSK Group, an independent and trusted consultancy offering applied research and evidence-based consultancy for sustainable food production as part of a healthy natural environment, is seeking a Commercial Bid Assistant Manager on a full‑time, permanent basis. You would be part of a small enthusiastic supportive team with whom you will be able to build a fulfilling professional relationship and development.

This role has been set at a flexible location, either home‑based or at our Wolverhampton office; if you opt to be home‑based, you should be prepared to travel to Wolverhampton or other RSK sites for training, meetings, and other team activities.

Our consultants and scientists deliver a diverse range of practical, sustainable solutions across the environmental, energy, food and agricultural sectors. This role delivers central support to ADAS bid leaders in preparing tender submissions to meet client deadlines and are set out to the agreed level of quality.

Facilitation Of Tenders
  • Key point of contact for the coordination and preparation of bid documents
  • Ensure bids are compliant with client instructions and are produced to the correct standard
  • Prepare bid templates - using internal or client templates
  • Proofreading - quality checking of bids before being submitted to the client
  • Check whether bids meet ADAS profit and cash flow requirements
  • Maintain ADAS registration on client tender and opportunity portals
  • Make sure bids are duly authorised and submitted to meet deadlines

To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, you may be asked to perform additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability without additional remuneration as part of your existing remuneration package.

Co-ordination Of The Bid Opportunities Process
  • Search internet sites and tender notice publications on a daily basis to identify sales opportunities to share with relevant ADAS BUs (Business Units)
  • Manage and maintain ADAS’s registrations and profiles on websites for tender alerts and utilities potential buyers (UVDB)
  • Regularly update and advise on searching criteria (CPV Code matches and key word searches for OJEU filters) to ensure all correct and suitable opportunities are captured for ADAS in line with changing business needs and resource
  • Host, prepare and organise weekly conference calls for sales managers to obtain a decision on whether or not to bid for opportunities
  • Manage and maintain the Bid Opportunities spreadsheet containing information on tender opportunities considered by ADAS
  • Use knowledge of forthcoming bids to ensure the bid team are as effective as possible at all times
  • Liaise with RSK Notifications team as required to maximize the opportunities for the Group.
