ADAS, a part of the RSK Group, is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Ecological Consultant to join our highly skilled ecology team. The role is a full‑time, hybrid position based primarily in Wolverhampton, with flexible working from home and office.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake baseline habitat surveys, assessments and reports.
- Work independently and collaborate with other ecologists across the region to deliver quality projects on time.
- Engage with clients to ensure project objectives are met and deadlines are achieved.
- Write technical reports ready for peer review, including ecological constraints reports, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments and protected species reports.
- Support the team with business development and project management duties.
Person Specification
- Full UK driving licence with personal vehicle and commutable to the Wolverhampton office.
- Demonstrable experience in ecological consultancy, leading surveys and managing projects.
- Solid working knowledge of ecology, legislation and relevant survey techniques, including protected species surveys and mitigation.
- Previous ecologically related experience.
- Graduate level education in a relevant subject.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce accurate technical reports to a professional standard.
