As a Senior level Ecological Consultant, you’ll be responsible for:
- Working as a team with our existing ecologists to ensure quality projects are delivered on time to our clients.
- Managing projects from inception to finalisation.
- Talking to our clients and providing solid technical advice.
- Write technical reports including but not limited to, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, Mitigation Strategies and Biodiversity Management Plans, Habitat Regulations Assessments Screening reports and protected species reports.
- Quality review and approval of reports.
- Leading on protected species surveys and training junior staff.
- Support the team with business development and project management.
To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company\’s evolving needs, you may be asked to perform additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability without additional remuneration
You must have:
- Graduate level education in a relevant subject.
- Associate Level CIEEM membership or above.
- In-depth knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques.
- Experience of managing projects and liaising effectively with clients.
- Excellent written communication skills and be able to produce accurate technical reports.
- A proactive attitude to managing your own time, finding solutions and ensuring that work is delivered on time and to the required standards.
- A full driving license, access to your own vehicle and be commutable to our office.
- Knowledge and experience in Biodiversity Net Gain and Habitat Condition Assessments.
We’d be keen to know if you have (these are desirable, but not required):
- Experience of bat data analysis.
- A CSCS card
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) Qualified
- Knowledge and experience of District Licensing for Great Crested Newts or been a holder of or named ecologist on mitigation licenses.
