We are seeking one highly motivated IPM Consultant, at Senior or Principal level, to play a leading role in the development, delivery, and growth of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) activities within ADAS. This role will focus on the management, analysis and interpretation of IPM data, decision support and network activities in the UK and internationally, while developing innovative services and securing funding for major IPM projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and securing funding for IPM projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, Innovate UK).
  • Manage and deliver complex, multi-partner research and innovation projects, including IPMnet and IPM Decisions.
  • Develop a good profile and reputation within and outside ADAS, with clients, collaborators and the scientific community.
  • Undertake R&D on novel decision support systems and IPM approaches.
  • Produce high-quality scientific publications and technical outputs.

What We Require

  • Strong expertise in IPM systems, with a focus on decision support or modelling.
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant subject e.g. applied agriculture (plant pathology preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience of IPM research in the UK and Europe.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work across a range of internal groups and external organisations.
  • Experience working with complex funding programmes.
  • Clear presenting style and demonstrable skills in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to lead initiatives and develop new services.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Salary And Benefits

This is a permanent role based at ADAS Boxworth in Cambridgeshire. Salary range £36,000 to £47,000 (Senior) and £45,000 to £56,000 (Principal) per annum depending on experience. Contributory pension scheme. A flexible benefits programme including the option to buy additional holiday and private health care. Company funded life assurance.
