ADAS, part of RSK Group, is seeking Ecologists at all levels to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will be hybrid, predominantly home based with travel to our Boxworth, Cambridge office. Applicants may also be based in Essex or Bedfordshire, travelling to our Boxworth office when required. The role is focused on those with a botanical specialism, with a FISC level 4 competence in botanical identification. There will be the opportunity to undertake other surveys and be involved with a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities- Undertaking baseline habitat survey, assessment and reporting
- Undertaking or supporting colleagues with protected species surveys
- Working alone and with our existing ecologists in the wider region to ensure quality projects are delivered on time to our clients
- Talking to our clients to ensure quality delivery of projects to deadlines
- Writing of technical reports ready for review by your colleagues, such as ecological constraints reports, preliminary ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, and protected species reports
- A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
- Graduate level education in a relevant subject
- FISC Level 4 qualification
- Good working knowledge and experience of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques, including protected species surveys and mitigation
- Excellent written communication skills and be able to produce accurate technical reports to a professional standard
- A pro-active attitude to managing your own time, finding solutions and ensuring that work is delivered on time and to the required standards
- CIEEM membership
- Experience of biodiversity net gain assessment and UKHABs
- One protected species licence (e.g., Great Crested Newt or Bats)
