Adaptive

WE ARE Adaptive. We design, build, and run bespoke, real‑time, front‑to‑back technology for tier‑one investment banks and commodity trading firms. The work is complex, fast, and meaningful — and we take pride in doing it properly. What makes this possible is not just great engineering, but the teams behind it. Our back‑office functions are deeply embedded in the business, shaping how we scale, decide, and move. We’re now hiring a BI Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in London or Barcelona. This team sits at the heart of the company. We turn raw data into clarity, alignment, and momentum. We don’t just report numbers: we define what they mean, make them trusted, and put them in the hands of people who need them. You’ll report directly to our Head of Data & Analytics.

YOU ARE a BI‑first practitioner who cares about clarity, performance, and trust. A great team player excited to work close to the business, defining metrics, and building BI products people actually use. Curious, structured, and comfortable owning things from definition to delivery.

YOU WILL:

  • Design, build, and maintain high‑quality dashboards and reports in Power BI and Metabase (Databricks).
  • Own KPI definitions, metrics, and dimensional models used across the business.
  • Build and maintain a governed semantic layer with consistent logic and access controls.
  • Create and manage a single, trusted catalog of dashboards and reports, including ownership, certification, and lifecycle.
  • Ensure row‑level and column‑level security is correctly implemented.
  • Enable self‑serve analytics through certified datasets, templates, and training.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into reusable BI assets.
  • Define and monitor SLAs/SLOs for data freshness, accuracy, and dashboard performance.
  • Monitor refreshes and query performance and continuously improve reliability and speed.

YOU HAVE:

  • Strong experience with a BI tool (Power BI, Looker, or Tableau).
  • Solid SQL and experience shaping analytics‑ready data models.
  • Proven dashboard UX skills (layout, filters, drill paths, clarity).
  • Experience with semantic modelling, KPIs, and metric governance.
  • Experience with data security and access control.
  • A track record of building performant, reliable BI.
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

WHY US:

  • To be immersed in a high‑standard engineering culture.
  • To take part in the growth and development of a great company.
  • Our teams feel free to speak up, make suggestions and raise concerns.
  • Collaborative team environment: we all work together, respect each other, and pitch in.
  • Great consideration for work/life balance (highly‑flexible, hybrid working model, well‑being benefits).
  • The balance between professional and personal life is extremely important to us.
  • We work hard to provide a positive, collaborative and inclusive culture and to positively impact our staff and local communities through well‑being, diversity and inclusion programmes.

BENEFITS:

  • 25 days holiday
  • Family medical and dental
  • Life insurance and long term disability insurance
  • Gym subsidy
  • Pension with a 5% match
  • Season ticket loan
  • Cycle scheme

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION: Adaptive is at its best when it reflects the world around us. We want everyone to feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. What matters most is that you’re respectful, collaborative, passionate about your craft, and excited to build great things together.
