Company Overview:
We are currently recruiting Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our clients growing team.
You will be working across our clients customer base which includes various industrial and educational establishments requiring Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, as well as a range of engineering workshop machinery and products.
Position Overview:
We are looking for candidates that have completed a full Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship and possesses a minimum of 1 year of time served experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on a range of equipment, ensuring compliance with current regulations. This may involve basic workshop machinery as well as complex extraction systems. (Primarily conducted as a team.)
Investigate and repair faults with field-based equipment at client sites, providing detailed reports on findings.
Conduct installations, modifications, and upgrades to machinery and LEV systems as necessary, encompassing all mechanical aspects.
Commission machinery and LEV systems mechanically following installations.
Equipment Experience Required:
Woodworking and Metal Working machinery
Various LEV systems with Fan and Filter units
Drive Shafts, Drive Belts, Pulley Systems, Gearboxes
Solenoids, Single & Three-phase motors
Bearings, Fans, and Impellers
Requirements:
HNC or above in Mechanical Engineering
Full UK Driving Licence
Completion of recognised apprenticeship
Advantageous Skills (though not essential):
CSCS Certification
IPAF Certification
Compressed Air Experience
Commercial Gas Certification
Basic understanding of Electrical Circuits & Isolation Procedures
Location:
Home-based with travel required to client sites mainly within the Central Belt of Scotland
Some contracts may necessitate mid-week working away within the UK, typically Monday to Friday for up to 5 days. Travel and accommodation are fully funded and pre-arranged whenever possible.

Provision of all relevant PPE, workwear, test equipment, and tools as required
