Company Overview:
We are currently recruiting for Electrical Service Engineers for our client who is experiencing significant growth due to recent major contract acquisitions and continued expansion.
We are currently seeking Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join the team in a field based capacity (candidates do not need to come from a field based background).
Our client works with various industrial and educational establishments requiring Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, as well as a range of engineering workshop machinery and products.
Position Overview:
We are looking for candidates that have completed a full Electrical Engineering apprenticeship and possesses a minimum of 1 year of time served experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on a range of equipment, ensuring compliance with current regulations. This may involve basic workshop machinery as well as complex extraction systems. (Primarily conducted as a team.)
Investigate and repair faults with field-based equipment at client sites, providing detailed reports on findings.
Conduct installations, modifications, and upgrades to machinery and LEV systems as necessary, encompassing both electrical and mechanical aspects.
Commission machinery and LEV systems electrically and mechanically following installations.
Equipment Experience Required:
Woodworking and Metal Working machinery
Various LEV systems with fan and filter units
Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starts, Star/Delta & DOL Units
Pressure Transducers, Pressure Switches, Emergency Control Relays
PLC Units, Solenoids, Single & Three-phase motors
Bearings, Fans, and Impellers
Requirements:
HNC or above in Electrical Engineering
Full UK Driving Licence
Completion of recognized apprenticeship
Advantageous Skills (though not essential):
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
18th Edition Inspection & Testing (BS 7671)
ECS Certification
CSCS Certification
Experience with Steel Conduit Bending, Cable Tray, Trunking Installation
Location:
Home-based with travel required to client sites mainly within the Central Belt of Scotland
Some contracts may necessitate mid-week working away within the UK, typically Monday to Friday for up to 5 days. Travel and accommodation are fully funded and pre-arranged whenever possible.
Package:
Fully expensed company van, mobile phone, tablet
Provision of all relevant PPE, workwear, test equipment, and tools as required.
Salary:
Based on experience.
