Salary range: £28,000-£32,000.00 per year, excluding Door to Door Payments/Bonus.

An Adaptive Care Data Cabling Engineer is a vital part of delivering our customer experience. You will be installing complex telecommunication systems, including the lay out structures for equipment installations as well as expansions for existing data systems. In addition to this, solving technical problems on site for customers to ensure all systems are ready for use. You are an ambassador for the business and the face of our culture and core values.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Installing cables, testing, and terminating cables, installing trunking and conduits, patching panels, solving issues related to cables and networks, and finding errors.

· Undertakes the loading and installation of IT equipment.

· Undertakes the installation of data equipment, including data racks, patching panels, cable trays, trunking and conduits.

· Utilising appropriate testing equipment to test installed cables.

· Provides documentation of all information on all cables and equipment.

· Perform cabling installations, Copper, Fiber Optic and nurse call systems.

· Travelling to sites across the UK with the use of a company vehicle.

· Operating a variety of tools, such as hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, and test equipment.

· Providing guidance to customers on potential use of all installed equipment and address customer concerns.

· Carries out customer instruction on System Operation and Functionality.

· Adheres to safety policies and procedures and reports all accidents, hazards, and equipment problems.

· Performs termination and testing of new cabling and Fibre.

· Responsible for setting up new telecommunications frames

· Performs preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues.

· Applies established procedures in testing every newly installed or relocated cable.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in structured cabling.

· Familiar with the installation and termination of all types of copper cables, both internal and External. Cat 5e,Cat6,Cat 6a

· Experienced with the setting up, use and interpretation of the results from a Fluke DSX 5000 tester.

· Preferable experience with the installation and termination and testing of Single Mode and Multi-Mode Fibre. However training can be provided.

· Familiar with the installation and troubleshooting of telephony equipment and cabling.

· Experience with the installation Audio Visual, network and PC equipment.

· Experience with the installation and deployment of Wi-Fi hardware.

· Knowledge of Paxton door Access equipment, desirable but not essential.

· The ability to demonstrate excellent trouble shooting skills.

· Able to work as either part of a team or independently.

· Highly motivated.

· Must be approachable and personable due to the nature of the role.

· An excellent understanding of health and safety practice with either CSCS or ECS.

· A Full UK driving Licence.

· IPAF/PASMA desirable but not essential.
