Job Description:
- The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for comprehensive treatment in the patient's home, including the completion of skilled documentation through Homecare Homebase.
- Provide physical therapy services as ordered and indicated in the plan of care.
- Perform prompt clinical documentation and visit notes.
- Communicate effectively with the physician, supervising therapist, interdisciplinary care team members, patient and caregivers.
- Comfortable working in all aspects of the home health setting.
- Implement and maintain physical therapy protocols and apply them to specialty populations and clinically indicated.
- Manage patient functional outcomes through appropriate treatment in collaboration with the supervising therapist.
Requirements:
- Strong organization skills and time management.
- Able to multitask and accomplish and meet timelines.
- Professional appearance and effective communication skills.
- Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- One year of home health experience as a PTA is preferred, but not required.
- Current Texas driver's license.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with healthcare software (Homecare Homebase preferred).
Schedule: Monday to Friday
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Required).
- Physical Therapy License (Required).
Work Location: Multiple locations/on the road - Crosby and its surrounding areas.
