We are recruiting a Private Client Insurance Broker to join a successful and well-established Insurance business supporting a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a hybrid Insurance role, with regular time spent in the office, therefore candidates must be commutable to Edinburgh (3 days a week). This opportunity is open to candidates from a broad Insurance background, including Insurance Brokers, Insurance Account Handlers and Insurance Claims Handlers, who are keen to move into or further develop a client-facing Insurance role. Previous Private Client experience is not essential but would be preferable.
You will work within a relationship-led Insurance team, supporting clients with household, high-value and bespoke Insurance requirements and building strong relationships with insurers and underwriters.
Key Responsibilities- Support and manage a portfolio of clients within a Private Client Insurance environment
- Provide advice on a range of personal lines and household Insurance products
- Handle Insurance renewals, new business enquiries and mid-term adjustments
- Liaise with insurers and underwriters to obtain and negotiate Insurance terms
- Deliver a high-quality, client-facing Insurance service via phone, email and meetings
- Support the Insurance claims process and act as a point of contact for client queries
- Maintain accurate Insurance records and documentation using broking systems (e.g. Acturis)
- Ensure compliance with Insurance procedures and regulatory standards
- Attend Insurance training, CPD and insurer meetings
- Experience working within the Insurance industry is essential
- Background in Insurance Broking, Insurance Account Handling, or Insurance Claims Handling
- Interest in developing a career within Private Client Insurance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a client-facing Insurance role or keen to move into one
- Organised, professional and detail-oriented
- Experience using Insurance systems such as Acturis is beneficial
- CII qualifications (or working towards) are desirable but not essential
