We are currently recruiting for an Accounts & Business Advisory Associate to join our clients Edinburgh team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant to develop their technical skills within a supportive, collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a varied client base.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accounting and advisory services to clients. You will work as part of a friendly and dynamic team, contributing to both compliance and day-to-day client support activities while progressing through your professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of clients
  • Assist with the production of management accounts
  • Complete and submit VAT returns
  • Carry out bookkeeping and transaction processing
  • Work extensively with cloud-based accounting software (Xero)
  • Support clients with day-to-day accounting queries
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant standards

About You:

  • Currently studying ACCA (or equivalent), with study support required
  • Previous experience in an accounts or practice environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting tools
  • High attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
