We are currently recruiting for a Renewables Supervisor on behalf of our client, a leading provider of compliance, energy efficiency and renewable energy services across the UK. This is an opportunity for an experienced technical professional to step into a leadership role within a growing renewable energy division. You'll oversee field-based engineering teams, ensure the successful delivery of renewable energy projects, and play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Working closely with housing associations, local authorities and residential customers, you'll combine technical expertise with people management, operational planning and performance improvement to help deliver sustainable energy solutions nationwide.
The Role
As a Renewables Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of renewable engineering operations within your region. You will provide technical support to engineers, oversee performance, manage escalations, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with client expectations and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- You will act as the primary point of contact for field‑based engineering teams within your designated region.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, support and guidance to engineers and administrative staff.
- Manage customer complaints and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with clients.
- Review technical referrals and determine survey or remedial requirements.
- Ensure renewable installations remain operational while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
- Prepare quotations for remedial and additional works using schedules of rates (SOR) and pricing tools.
- Monitor repair and maintenance workflows, ensuring jobs progress within agreed service level agreements.
- Maintain visibility of current and future workloads, supporting effective resource and capacity planning.

- Full UK Driving Licence
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing engineering or field‑based teams.
- Strong technical understanding of renewable energy systems and low‑carbon technologies.
- Experience designing, specifying or delivering domestic and commercial energy efficiency solutions.
- Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong organisational and workload management skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and tenants.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable Experience: If you have previous experience working within the social housing sector this would be advantageous or experience managing renewable installation or maintenance programmes.
