We are currently recruiting for an Accounts & Business Advisory Associate to join our clients Edinburgh team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant to develop their technical skills within a supportive, collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a varied client base.
About The Role
As an Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accounting and advisory services to clients. You will work as part of a friendly and dynamic team, contributing to both compliance and day-to-day client support activities while progressing through your professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of clients
- Assist with the production of management accounts
- Complete and submit VAT returns
- Carry out bookkeeping and transaction processing
- Work extensively with cloud-based accounting software (Xero)
- Support clients with day-to-day accounting queries
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant standards
About You
- Currently studying ACCA (or equivalent), with study support required
- Previous experience in an accounts or practice environment
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting tools
- High attention to detail and good organisational skills
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
