Company Overview
Part of a larger group, our client is a leading multilingual content marketing agency, helping brands connect authentically with global audiences. With expertise in SEO, editorial content, and digital storytelling, we serve 80+ markets. Their sister companies also support global content efforts — together delivering strategy, translation, and optimization services that fuel growth across cultures.
Role Summary
They are seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to accelerate our growth in Europe across High-Growth (Mid-Market) and Enterprise accounts. This role focuses on relationship-driven, service-led consultative selling. You will leverage strong storytelling skills and a deep understanding of the digital content ecosystem to build a robust sales pipeline and drive revenue.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience selling commercially to senior marketing professionals (Director to CMO level) within global or multilingual organizations, specifically offering services comparable to our client\’s portfolio — SEO content creation, localization, and digital content marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate the unique value proposition of multilingual content, SEO strategy, and localization services to address marketing objectives.
- Independently identify new business and upsell opportunities to maximize revenue growth.
- Engage and influence marketing decision-makers through compelling sales presentations.
- Understand client needs within the broader digital ecosystem and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Develop winning sales strategies in collaboration with internal teams (Strategy, Operations, and Creative).
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM reporting.
- Lead renewal processes in coordination with delivery and account teams.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of B2B sales experience, with a strong track record in content services.
- Minimum of 3 years selling services directly to marketing organizations — specifically SEO content development, editorial content, or related digital marketing solutions.
- Proven ability to exceed quota and build strong client relationships.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to operate independently and cross-functionally.
- Strong communication and storytelling ability; confident engaging senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.
Preferred Technology Experience
- Salesforce for opportunity and pipeline management.
- Outreach and ZoomInfo for prospecting.
- Gong or similar conversational intelligence platforms.
- PowerPoint for client-facing presentations.
Why Join Our Team:
- Big brand bragging rights. You\’ll be working with very recognizable companies (from Fortune 50 logos to up-and-coming brands) that are sure to impress friends and family.
- Diverse, Inclusive, and Energetic team atmosphere. You\’ll be alongside a group of deeply supportive and diverse colleagues combined with highly approachable ‘open-door’/’open-book’ managers that treat you like a person, not a cog.
- Career Stability and Growth. Many team members have been with the company for more than a decade because they really love our commitment to culture and improving our platform, processes and people, every day. They love their internal talent, and career advancement opportunities both within and outside hired departments are available. They run their business and manage performance with a growth mindset.
Remote role with occasional in-person meetings. Applicants must be located and eligible to work within the European Union.
Prior experience is required selling digital marketing services (such as SEO content, editorial production, or localization) to marketing leaders in global companies. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
