This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who wants to shape how engineering is delivered at the Worthing site. As Engineering Manager, you will have real influence over people, priorities and execution, ensuring our engineering capability consistently supports business and customer needs. The role sits alongside the Technical Strategy Manager, creating a clear split between technology direction and future roadmap and day‑to‑day engineering delivery and people leadership.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop the engineering team, building a strong, accountable and collaborative culture.
- Own engineering delivery, including NPI, sustaining engineering and workload prioritisation, working closely with Operations and Commercial teams.
- Put structure and discipline around planning, governance and execution.
- Partner with the Technical Strategy Manager to translate technology direction into clear, executable engineering plans.
What you’ll bring (skills over years):
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers, with a strong focus on people and delivery.
- Own end‑to‑end NPI execution from requirements capture through design, verification and validation, industrialisation and product launch.
- Solid electronic engineering experience and the credibility to lead technical discussions.
- A pragmatic, organised approach to prioritisation and problem‑solving.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across functions.
- A desire to develop others and raise standards across the engineering function.
Salary Scale: £60-80K plus bonus - Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
Where you’ll be: Our location is Goring, Worthing, West Sussex (UK)—working as part of one big team that combines deep engineering knowledge with strong applications expertise.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
