Job Description

At Adaptable Recruitment we have an Excellent Opportunity for an Underwriter Assistant to join a growing & reputable company in Liverpool City Centre working in a brilliant office environment. Where you will be given the training to progress & succeed.Package: up to £24,740 – (35 hours)Holidays: 25 days + bank (increases with service)Location: Liverpool- Fully Office based for the first 6 months then hybrid working Benefits: Healthcare cash plan – Life Assurance – Access to EAPStart Your Career in Underwriting & AnalyticsEntry-Level Role | Full Training Provided | Salary: £24,470 (rising to £25,700 after 12 months)

Main responsibilities to include:

  • Supporting the preparation of cost models for new business and renewal quotes
  • Analysing client and market data to inform pricing decisions
  • Working closely with colleagues across Underwriting, Analytics, and Sales
  • Learning how to interpret trends and risks to develop sound underwriting recommendations
  • Helping to improve and streamline internal modelling tools and processes over time

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree-educated (ideally in a numerate subject – Maths, Economics, Stats, Actuarial Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eye for detail
  • Comfortable working with data (Excel is a must – bonus points for any experience with modelling or coding!)
  • A proactive learner with a problem-solving mindset
  • A clear communicator who's happy working both independently and as part of a team
