Job Description
At Adaptable Recruitment we have an Excellent Opportunity for an Underwriter Assistant to join a growing & reputable company in Liverpool City Centre working in a brilliant office environment. Main responsibilities to include:
- Supporting the preparation of cost models for new business and renewal quotes
- Analysing client and market data to inform pricing decisions
- Working closely with colleagues across Underwriting, Analytics, and Sales
- Learning how to interpret trends and risks to develop sound underwriting recommendations
- Helping to improve and streamline internal modelling tools and processes over time
The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree-educated (ideally in a numerate subject – Maths, Economics, Stats, Actuarial Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eye for detail
- Comfortable working with data (Excel is a must – bonus points for any experience with modelling or coding!)
- A proactive learner with a problem-solving mindset
- A clear communicator who's happy working both independently and as part of a team
