Adaptable Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a successful Warrington based business who is looking to recruit an experienced and proactive Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to take the lead on the Accounts Payable function for the organisation's overseas business. This role combines hands-on AP responsibilities with a coordination role across a small team of AP clerks based overseas. You'll act as the key link between the UK and overseas team, ensuring accurate, timely processing of payables while promoting consistency, strong financial controls, and continuous improvement across the function.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Take ownership of end-to-end AP processes including invoice receipt, coding, approval, and posting.
- Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments in line with agreed terms.
- Complete and review supplier reconciliations, resolving queries efficiently.
- Maintain AP ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review payment runs, including cross-border transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.
- Support month-end close activities.
