At Adaptable Recruitment we have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Documentation Manager to join a leading chartered engineering consultancy company in the Liverpool area.
Salary: up to £40,000 depending on experience
Working hours: 9 - 5.30 - Fully office based
Holidays: 25 days holiday plus bank

Main Responsibilities include:
- Conduct technical reviews of formal contract documents, including Appointments and Collateral Warranties, to ensure compliance and consistency with company policies and industry standards.
- Liaise with contractors and clients to raise and resolve queries related to specific aspects of formal documents, utilising our 'Red Flag' list to identify and address potential issues.
- Propose and implement necessary changes or updates to formal documents, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review fee quotations, ensuring they comply with company policies, include all relevant terms, and maintain consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues and legal support to seek technical advice on areas of uncertainty or new/unusual terms in contracts.
- Prioritise documents in line with client expectations and credit control requirements to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Update and maintain company-standard fee quote templates to ensure they reflect current business practices and client needs.
- Regularly update company-standard Terms & Conditions and ensure they are issued appropriately for relevant projects.
- Monitor and track fee approvals/instructions to proceed with work, ensuring proper documentation and client alignment.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records for each project, ensuring documentation is readily available when needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in managing and reviewing formal contract documentation, ideally within a construction or similar industry.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and legal teams.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Knowledge of standard fee quotation processes, Terms & Conditions, and regulatory compliance is beneficial.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
