New Job Alert! Up to £30,000 Liverpool City Centre Office Based 37.5 hours a week. Adaptable Recruitment are exclusively representing a well-established Liverpool based business who is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check emails and print any invoices and statements of account.
- Reply to email queries.
- Work closely with the Management Accountant regarding online banking.
- Check cash received against outstanding invoices, update the debtors list, and maintain weekly and yearly cash received spreadsheets.
- Log incoming purchase invoices on the purchase invoice register.
- Process purchase invoices received.
- Check and approve purchase invoices for payment, or pass to the relevant person for approval.
- File purchase invoices for ease of retrieval.
- Check any miscellaneous invoices raised daily.
- Credit control - chase outstanding debts, usually by email.
Monthly Duties:
- Run statements, print hard copies for posting, and generate PDF copies for email distribution.
- Once Datflow has been updated and invoices printed as PDFs, send monthly rental/repair invoices and statements of account to customers by email (including any additional customer requirements).
- Assist the Management Accountant with preparation of depot payments and any other monthly payments for review and approval.
- Check incoming depot invoices against internal storage/handling reports.
- Assist the FD/Management Accountant with monthly invoicing as required.
- Produce ad-hoc reports as required.
- Assist the Management Accountant/Operations team as required.
Skills Required:
The successful candidate must have previous accounts experience, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication is essential. AAT would be beneficial.
