Key Responsibilities
  • Installing fire doors and frames in accordance with current fire safety regulations and industry standards (e.g. BS 8214)
  • Ensuring accurate fitting, alignment, and compliant door gaps to maintain fire and smoke integrity
  • Fitting and adjusting ironmongery including hinges, closers, locks, intumescent strips, and smoke seals
  • Carrying out post-installation checks to ensure doors close, latch, and perform correctly under fire safety requirements
  • Completing installation records, compliance paperwork, and certification to meet legal and client requirements
Key Requirements
  • Essential:
    • NVQ L2 joiner minimum
    • CSCS card valid
    • FIRAS installers number obtained
    • Driver with own vehicle, preferred VAN
