Standalone HR Manager
Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: £35-42,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday – hybrid

Are you a process-driven HR professional looking for a varied, people-focused role with minimal the ER casework? I\’m working with a well-established manufacturing business seeking a confident and proactive Standalone HR Manager / HR Officer to join their team.
This is a hands-on role where you\’ll have the opportunity to shape and streamline HR processes, lead on wellbeing initiatives, and organise employee engagement events – all while working closely with managers and employees across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage all core HR processes and documentation (onboarding, leavers, training records, etc.)
- Champion wellbeing across the business – from mental health support to workplace initiatives
- Lead on planning and delivering employee engagement activities and internal events
- Support line managers with day-to-day HR queries and compliance matters
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance
- Travel occasionally to other UK sites to ensure consistency and visibility across locations
What We\’re Looking For:
- Proven HR experience at HR Advisor or Manager level
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or similar environment is a plus
- A self-starter who enjoys working autonomously
- Confident communicator, highly organised and proactive
- CIPD Level 5 or working towards it (preferred)
