Adaptable Recruitment are working with a well known charity based in Chorley who is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Permanent role with salary £32,000-£35,000
Hybrid and flexible working, based from either our Chorley office
Support towards CIPP Level 5 for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities
Own the coordination of weekly and monthly payroll submissions across multiple locations
Act as the primary liaison between the organisation and our outsourced payroll provider
Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted within agreed deadlines
Review payroll information and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly
Process payroll adjustments, advances and off-cycle payments
Manage employee payroll queries with clear, timely responses
Complete year-end activities and support statutory submissions to HMRC and pension providers
Produce payroll reports and management information as required
Build strong, collaborative relationships with managers, colleagues in HR Operations, and payroll provider
Identify and lead improvements to payroll processes, systems and service
About You
Significant payroll experience - you know the job and want to put that experience to work
CIPP qualified, or working towards xiskglj Level 5, or open to studying towards it with our support
Confident processing accurate data and managing validations independently
Strong relationship-building skills, comfortable managing an outsourced provider relationship and working closely with internal colleagues
Sound working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
Strong Excel and payroll systems skills
Naturally focused on improving processes, efficiency and service, not just maintaining them
