Adaptable Recruitment are working with a well-known charity based in Liverpool who is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
What We Offer

Key Responsibilities
- Own the coordination of weekly and monthly payroll submissions across multiple locations
- Act as the primary liaison between Best Lives and our outsourced payroll provider, RSM
- Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted within agreed deadlines
- Review payroll information and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly
- Process payroll adjustments, advances and off-cycle payments
- Manage employee payroll queries with clear, timely responses
- Complete year-end activities and support statutory submissions to HMRC and pension providers
- Produce payroll reports and management information as required
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with managers, colleagues in HR Operations, and Payroll Provider
- Identify and lead improvements to payroll processes, systems and service
About You
- Significant payroll experience - you know the job and want to put that experience to work
- CIPP qualified, or working towards Level 5, or open to studying towards it with our support
- Confident processing accurate data and managing validations independently
- Strong relationship-building skills, comfortable managing an outsourced provider relationship and working closely with internal colleagues
- Sound working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Strong Excel and payroll systems skills
- Naturally focused on improving processes, efficiency and service, not just maintaining them
