Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician looking for your next challenge? Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Wrexham, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their Maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of plant and machinery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across medium to heavy industrial machinery.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Implementing engineering modifications to improve equipment reliability.
- Collaborating with both the maintenance and manufacturing teams.
- Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Operating lifting and handling equipment safely and correctly.
- Working to a continuous shift pattern, with overtime as required to cover absences.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
- Time-served and qualified to a minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, brazing, and rigging.
- Experience with high-pressure steam systems and safety-focused maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent software.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong team spirit.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
What our client can offer in return:
- Salary up to £48,2534 on 4 off - (7am-7pm / 7pm–7am)
- Every 10 weeks or 7 blocks on, there is an 18 day break
- There are 5 x 18 day breaks within the rostered year
