Working on behalf of our client based in Wrexham, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. As part of their maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant and machinery. You will work with PLCs, instrumentation, electronic drives, and AC/DC motors, diagnosing faults and implementing improvements to keep production running smoothly.
Key Duties:
- Maintain and repair electrical systems, large AC/DC motors, instrumentation, and electronic drives
- Diagnose faults using software and testing equipment
- Follow machine and plant lock-off procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and work safely in line with health & safety regulations
- Develop and implement modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery
- Collaborate effectively with manufacturing and maintenance teams
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Perform lifting and handling of machinery using correct equipment and techniques
- Use MS Office or equivalent for reporting and documentation
Requirements:
- Completed a recognised industrial apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance
- Time-served electrical maintenance engineer with significant industrial experience
- BTEC/ONC level in Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or proven experience
- Strong practical skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision

- 4 on 4 off - (7am-7pm / 7pm–7am)
- Every 10 weeks or 7 blocks on, there is an 18 day break
- There are 5 x 18 day breaks within the rostered year
