Working on behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing engineering contractor delivering mechanical projects across the UK Water sector.
- Key Duties
- Managing multiple mechanical projects from award through to completion.
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
- Planning and monitoring project programmes to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Managing project costs, variations and commercial performance.
- Carrying out regular site visits across the UK to oversee project progress and resolve issues.
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Producing project reports, programme updates and project documentation.
- Liaising with clients, consultants and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing procurement of materials, plant and subcontractors where required.
- Supporting project commissioning, handover and completion.
- What we are looking for
- Previous experience delivering mechanical projects within the UK Water industry.
- Mechanical engineering background.
- Experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, or a Project Engineer/Site Manager looking to progress into Project Management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised, proactive and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
