Electrical Contracts Manager

Working on behalf of our client, based in Crewe we are currently recruiting for a Electrical Contracts Manager on a permanent basis.

Key Duties:

• Project Management – Plan, execute, and oversee electrical contracts from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
• Estimating & Design – Assist in the design and costing of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Scheduling & Coordination – Develop project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Budget & Cost Control – Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and subcontractors.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure all work meets UK regulations, including BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and Health & Safety standards.
• Quality Assurance – Monitor work quality, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure installations meet regulatory and company standards.
• Team Leadership – Supervise and manage electricians, subcontractors, and project teams, providing guidance and training where required.
• Client Liaison – Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any project concerns.
• Documentation & Reporting – Maintain accurate records, contracts, and reports, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

• ECS/JIB Gold Card
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
• SMSTS or SSSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme preferred)
• Experience in project management within the electrical industry
• Strong understanding of electrical installation regulations and health & safety standards
• Proven ability to manage multiple electrical projects from start to completion
