Working on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Huddersfield. We are currently recruiting for a Draughtsperson.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings, working on a variety of mechanical and structural projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in fabrication, steel structures, and mechanical engineering.
Key Duties:
- Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to develop mechanical and structural components.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Assist in design modifications, clash detection, and problem-solving during the development phase.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, structural engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
- Proven experience as a Draughtsperson with a mechanical and structural bias.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding, and steelwork structures.
- Understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
