Working on behalf of our client based on a site in Wrexham. We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Controls Engineer. The role will involve a mixture of design, commissioning, and electrical engineering support.

Key Duties:

  • Amendments and updates to electrical drawings in CAD
  • Commissioning of ABB drives and motors
  • Working knowledge of Pilz safety systems
  • Electrical design experience
  • Electrical panel design knowledge

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

  • Previous experience within industrial automation / electrical engineering environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and practical engineering approach
  • Availability throughout June preferred
  • Immediate availability advantageous
  • HNC / HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar
  • Relevant industry experience in industrial electrical or automation environments
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software
  • Experience commissioning ABB drives and motors
  • Knowledge of Pilz safety systems and machine safety standards
  • Experience with electrical design and control panel design
  • Understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, and electrical schematics
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable

Desirable Experience:

  • Controls & automation background
  • Site commissioning experience
  • Experience with industrial machinery or manufacturing system
  • Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Schneider systems
  • Functional safety or TV certification
