We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of a key water infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for structures, pipework, and associated civils works
- Carrying out pre-pour inspections on fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC)
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Maintaining and updating Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Conducting site quality checks and surveys
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and management
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Producing accurate records and as-built information
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within the water or utilities sector
- Strong background in:
- Setting out (structures and pipelines)
- Reinforced concrete works (including FRC)
- Pre-pour inspections and QA processes
- Experience managing and updating ITPs
- Proficient with surveying equipment (e.g. total stations, GPS)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Valid CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Temporary works awareness
