We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of a key water infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out for structures, pipework, and associated civils works
  • Carrying out pre-pour inspections on fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC)
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and tolerances
  • Maintaining and updating Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Conducting site quality checks and surveys
  • Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and management
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Producing accurate records and as-built information

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer within the water or utilities sector
  • Strong background in:
  • Setting out (structures and pipelines)
  • Reinforced concrete works (including FRC)
  • Pre-pour inspections and QA processes
  • Experience managing and updating ITPs
  • Proficient with surveying equipment (e.g. total stations, GPS)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Desirable
    • SMSTS or SSSTS
    • Temporary works awareness
