Working on behalf of our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Greater Manchester, we are currently recruiting for Quantity Surveyors & Senior Quantity Surveyors on a permanent basis.
Key Duties
- Manage commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Cost control and forecasting across multiple sites.
- Identify and manage variations and changes to scope.
- Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management.
- Prepare and present monthly cost/value reports to senior management.
- Maintain compliance with contractual and financial procedures.
- Work collaboratively with operational and client teams.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering or residential infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of groundworks, roads, drainage, and external works (Desirable).
- Excellent understanding of various forms of contract (e.g. NEC, JCT).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Full UK driving licence.
