I’m working with a Microsoft Partner looking to hire an experienced Dynamics 365 F&O Finance Functional Consultant, ideally with strong Project Accounting experience. This is a delivery-led role on complex D365 Finance programmes, working closely with clients, architects, developers and Microsoft FastTrack. You’ll own the Finance workstream end to end, from design through to go-live.

What you’ll actually be doing:

  • Owning requirements gathering, solution design, functional testing and data migration
  • Running client workshops, design sessions and end-user training
  • Designing and configuring Finance processes aligned to real-world business needs
  • Acting as the bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams
  • Supporting and mentoring junior Finance consultants
  • Contributing to pre-sales and the wider growth of the D365 Finance practice

This is hands-on delivery, not a reporting-only role.

What they’re looking for:

  • 5–8+ years delivering full-cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementations
  • Strong functional depth across D365 Finance, including:
    • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

    • Cash & Bank Management
    • Budgeting
    • Solid Project Accounting experience (project setup, costing, revenue recognition, WIP, invoicing)
  • Experience working with professional services or project-based organisations
  • Strong data migration experience (DMF, DMT, automation frameworks)
  • Confident producing FDDs, process flows and user stories
  • Comfortable working in agile delivery environments
  • Experience integrating D365 F&O with external systems (Dataverse, Power Platform, web services, Dual Write)

Nice to have (not essential):
