Adapro Talent Partners are delighted to be supporting a large Leicester based Client with their recruitment of a Management Accountant, to cover a period of Maternity Leave, on a Fixed Term Contract basis until December 2027. The Management Accountant is the primary and dedicated Finance liaison for the IT business unit, and is responsible for the general accounting and monthly close processes for that area. The role is part of the wider Shared Service Finance (SSF) function.
The role is expected to work closely with the business stakeholders of the IT BU to understand their individual requirements and ensure that a high value, consistent accounting service is provided across the organisation. The Management Accountant reports directly into the R2R Manager and provides guidance and direction for all financial matters relating to IT costs. The role ensures compliance with the wider R2R processes and enables the delivery of the SSF target operating model.
The role is accountable for providing business specific deliverables within defined SLAs, and to coordinate communications between the business and the R2R service to drive timely delivery of transactional processes and completion of reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the execution of the R2R processes for the IT BU.
- Ensure all processing, financial closing, reconciliations and reports are completed on a timely basis.
- Build knowledge of dedicated areas of the business, and underlying cost and revenue drivers.
- Review, reconcile and analyse aspects of the monthly financial statements, especially reconciliations, accruals, allocations, revenue recs, pre-payments, and variance analyses.
- Make recommendations that feed into the business decision making process based on financial analysis and understanding of the IT BU.
- Maintain balance sheet integrity of account reconciliations and ensure all unreconciled items are resolved in a timely manner and escalated as necessary.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis, including budget/forecasting, supplementary packs and ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Ensure all processes are followed within R2R.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the internal control environment.
- Support annual audits.
- Ensure timely preparation and distribution of standard management reports to the IT BU.
- Maintain a service-led culture by delivering consistent quality of financial information to the business.
- Partner with the business Finance team and the SLT to identify improvement initiatives throughout the service and the wider team.
- Provide coaching, support on performance and workload management.
- Support communication structures across the SSF, to ensure all key messages are communicated and understood.

- Exposure working within a business accounting function or experience working in a shared service centre environment.

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Agresso/Financial Force experience preferred - MS Office at advanced level essential.
