Adapro Talent Partners Ltd are delighted to be partnering with a large, multi-site retail organisation based in Bedfordshire to recruit a Corporate Financial Controller, on a permanent basis. The Corporate Financial Controller will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, control and insight across the Group. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you'll lead a small, capable team and take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, tax, treasury oversight, lender reporting and long-term financial planning. You'll work closely with senior leaders, including the Finance Director and CFO, providing robust analysis, strong financial governance and clear insight to support informed decision-making. This is a broad, hands-on role with real influence — ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with leadership, continuous improvement and strategic thinking.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Owning the Group's monthly cash forecasting, providing insight and challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Overseeing month-end close and Group reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness
  • Leading the statutory accounts process for multiple UK entities, including audit coordination
  • Taking ownership of VAT compliance and supporting wider tax matters with external advisors
