We are looking for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser, based in our Manchester HQ as part of our newly formed US merchandising team. You will have an eye for detail and being analytical is at the forefront of everything you do. Within the role, you will be responsible for using relevant data to ensure that sales and stock are optimised for our US customer. You will work closely with our Senior Merchandiser to make impactful decisions for the department.
About the job:
- Support in formulating the overall US customer facing strategy, from initial stock build to planning and trading in season.
- Support in setting US facing KPI’s and managing OTB at category and line level (sales, stocks, refunds, options, ADOB).
- Work closely with the “core” product team, feeding in lessons learnt and US specific analysis.
- Manage stock into the US warehouse considering cover targets, launch deadlines and overall business needs.
- Forecast US line cards, ensuring cover is maintained to target & reviews risks/overperformance.
- Ensure strong size availability through accurate sizing analysis across the departments core range.
- Review sales forecasts based on performance and action re-forecasts where necessary.
- Continuously considering risk and opportunity within your area, reallocating spend when necessary.
- Analyse & monitor best & worst sellers and use this information to make informed trade actions on a weekly basis.
- Use data to optimise the sales volume & profitability of your product areas.
- Support the Merch Admin Assistant with any administrative tasks & develop their skill set where needed.
- Work closely with the E-Commerce & Marketing teams to ensure maximum visibility on site for best sellers.
About you:
- Proven experience at Assistant Merchandiser level is preferred, ideally with multi-DC experience.
- Awareness of the US Market.
- Proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Ideally Netsuite reporting experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritise own workload based on business requirements.
- Detail oriented.
- Positive can-do attitude! Embraces change.
