The Junior Buyer role is responsible for buying and running a department or range within Adanola, reporting directly into the Senior Buyer/Head of Buying. They will work together with the Merchandiser, as well as Design, Brand and Marketing and with the support of the Senior Buyer/Head of Buying are responsible for the delivery of commercial performance and brand growth, with the aim to deliver a profitable, customer centric range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Designer developing strong working relationships with direct points of contact to positively impact your department and the buying function.
  • Set clear expectations and create a shared purpose within your team.
  • Have awareness of your own leadership style and an ability to adapt your approach to engage and motivate your team.
  • Provide regular balanced feedback to recognise great work, and deal with any issues before they escalate.

About you

  • Currently operating as an established Assistant Buyer or at Junior Buyer level with a strong buying career to date within the fashion industry.
  • Have good commercial awareness alongside a creative eye for product and trends.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • You have a growth mindset, you naturally see opportunity, positivity and room to develop.
  • The ability to hold effective, genuine and strong relationships with both your internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers.
  • Team player.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Excellent communication skills.
