A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Van Service Technician at our Adams Morey site on Adanac Park, Nursling. We are currently looking to recruit technicians for both early and late shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure all vehicles meet our exacting standards before they are returned to customers or released to market. Working as part of a skilled and motivated team, you will play an essential role in maintaining our reputation for excellence, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience, qualifications and shift.
Hours: Earlies: Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 3.00 pm, i.e. 37.5 hours per week, 30 minute lunch (unpaid). OR Lates: Monday to Friday 2.30 pm to 11.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minute lunch (unpaid).
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Following a job card to carry out approved repairs.
- Removing and refitting parts across multiple brands of vehicles.
- Ability to understand and follow advised customers repair standards.
- Ability to problem solve and diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues.
- Completing safety checks (Mechanical Inspections) on newly arrived vehicles.
- Ensure all repairs are carried out to a high standard and quality check your own work.
- Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Previous experience in mechanical and electrical fitting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Have a strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Willingness to go on a MOT testers course if not already a qualified tester.
