We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Panel Beater / Fabricator to join our busy workshop in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and is looking to work in a fast-paced, professional environment with a strong focus on delivering exceptional vehicle repair and fabrication services.
As a Panel Beater / Fabricator, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and fabricating vehicle bodywork to a high standard. This role involves working on a range of light and heavy vehicles, ensuring they are returned to service safely and efficiently.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Saturday 8.00 am to 12.00 pm (optional)
- 40 hours per week plus Saturday shifts, 1 hour lunch break (unpaid)
Salary: OTE £34,000 to £50,000 per annum (dependent on overtime completed).
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out panel repairs, replacements, and realignment.
- Fabricate and modify body components as required.
- Weld, cut, and shape metal using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine repair methods.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet deadlines.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater/Fabricator.
- Strong welding and metal fabrication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
