Join one of the South West’s leading commercial vehicle dealerships! Adams Morey Plymouth is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Technician to strengthen our busy workshop team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 3.30 pm/1.30 pm to 10.00 pm, alternating shifts, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch (unpaid).
Salary: OTE £50,000! (dependent on experience, shift and qualifications)
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs to a high standard.
- Diagnosing faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Completing all work efficiently and in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and job card completion.
- Supporting the workshop team to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic.
- A relevant Level 3 qualification (IMI / NVQ or equivalent).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence (HGV licence an advantage, not essential).
