About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regulatory Lead – EMEA to head our regional Regulatory Affairs function, leading a team of 50 talented professionals. This is a high‑impact leadership role responsible for shaping regulatory strategy across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, ensuring strong portfolio defence, development, and long‑term commercial success. You will be part of the Global Regulatory Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of Global Regulatory & Scientific Affairs. You will act as a critical bridge between regional business units, development teams, and global regulatory leadership – bringing clarity to complex regulatory landscapes and driving forward‑thinking strategies in a rapidly evolving environment. Role to be based in one of the hubs in UK, Netherlands, Germany, France or Spain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Impact
    • Define and drive optimal regulatory strategies in partnership with Country Regulatory Managers and Global Regulatory leadership
    • Provide forward‑looking regulatory insights to support commercial decision‑making and portfolio success
    • Contribute to regional and global corporate strategy through a regulatory lens
    • Advise stakeholders on emerging regulatory trends and their business impact
  • Regulatory Intelligence & Advocacy
    • Deliver proactive regulatory intelligence on both internal and competitor products
    • Support advocacy activities in collaboration with global and regional teams
    • Represent the organisation in key industry bodies, including CropLife Europe
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and develop a high‑performing, multicultural team of Country Regulatory Managers
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement
    • Manage performance, capability building, and team engagement in a complex regulatory environment
  • Project & Stakeholder Management
    • Oversee dossier preparation, review, submission, and lifecycle management across the region
    • Ensure alignment with local and zonal regulatory requirements and timelines
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities to support efficient approvals
    • Partner closely with EAME Development and Product Strategy teams to align on priorities
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure accurate and timely updates of regulatory databases
    • Establish best practices and consistent ways of working across regional and global teams

About You

  • Extensive experience in Regulatory Affairs or Regulatory Science in Europe
  • Deep expertise in the EU Crop Protection regulatory framework (essential)
  • Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and develop diverse teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
  • Strong networking and influencing capability across internal and external stakeholders
