Responsibilities:
- Safely operate school buses on assigned routes to transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and school transportation policies to ensure passenger safety.
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all students.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely, including those with special needs.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents according to company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with school officials, parents, and dispatch regarding schedules and student safety.
- Train for valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements.
