This is not a steady-state HR role. This is a business that has been through significant change and isn’t finished yet. It operates lean, it’s ambitious, and it’s on a genuine growth trajectory. What it now needs is cohesion, clarity, stronger leadership capability and a shift in culture and ways of working.
We’re looking for an experienced HR leader to partner directly with the Managing Director and help shape the next phase. You'll be supporting colleagues across multiple UK sites, based from Gloucestershire three days per week with regular travel to other locations. You’ll act as a conduit between strategy and reality, bringing structure, simplicity and steady leadership into a business that’s ready to mature.
The leadership team is new and finding its rhythm. There’s ambition and intent, but not yet a clear benchmark for what strong people leadership truly looks like. You’ll help bring that clarity, setting the standard, shaping expectations and building the capability to deliver it consistently.
This role would suit:
- A seasoned Senior HR Business Partner ready to step into a Head of HR role
- Or an existing Head of HR who enjoys building foundations and shaping culture
You’ll need:
- Strong experience leading through change, particularly in complex or previously siloed environments where alignment and consistency need to be built from the ground up.
- Confidence partnering at MD level
- The ability to create alignment and cohesion across teams
- A practical HR toolbox, you translate theory into simple, effective execution
- Experience managing at least one direct report
- Emotional maturity and calm credibility
- Open, transparent communication style
- International exposure would be highly advantageous, particularly where you’ve supported multi-site or matrixed operations.
This is not about creating complex frameworks. It’s about practical excellence, clear standards, strong leadership habits and cultural alignment. Operating within a lean structure, you'll be comfortable rolling up your sleeves while still thinking strategically.
There is genuine career development attached to this role. For the right individual, this could evolve into a broader strategic people leadership position as the business scales. If you’re confident leading through ambiguity, steady under pressure, and motivated by building something stronger than you found it, this could be the step you’ve been waiting for.
This role is offered on a permanent basis. Equity, diversity, and inclusion are integral to everything that we do. We are committed to these values, and they are central to our mission. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities, and we are more than happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments that you may require.
